Chapter 122

In the study, Lin Suizhou was alone.

He sat there alone until dawn. When he glanced at the sunrise outside the window, Lin Suizhou closed his eyes and turned on the computer. He searched for a file, which contained several photos and personal documents, including a video. After sorting it out, he sent them to his assistant.

[Lin Suizou: Expose what I just sent to you and hand it to the police.]

The assistant who just received his message was a bit surprised, but didn’t ask much and arranged the tasks he was told.

Lin Suizhou turned off the computer. He got up, picked up the coat, and was ready to go to the hospital.

It took only half a day for the assistant to finish his tasks. In the afternoon, someone had posted footage on the Internet about a celebrity surnamed L doing drugs.

The video was shot in the middle of the night, crowded and blurry, but netizens were still able to vaguely identify the person in the video. It was undoubtedly Li Changfeng.

Li Changfeng’s drug scandal quickly overshadowed the divorce between Lin Suizhou and Jiang Tang. The public’s perception of Li Changfeng has been not very good. Now that this matter has been exposed, it is conceivable that he will be criticized by thousands of people.

His fans naturally did not believe that he would do such a thing and even hired paid poster to help clean up. The most important thing is to brush off the previous topic, but the worse results emerged.

The police informed that an artist surnamed L was arrested for possession of drugs.

The allegation was confirmed, it was not someone who tried to slander him. The public was stunned and fans were beyond dispute.

Li Changfeng didn’t know anything about the news on the Internet and was sleeping at home when he was arrested. He hasn’t been out for two days since being rejected by Jiang Tang. Watching the police break into his house with a search warrant, without waiting for him to say anything, they went in and started searching. Soon, they found a pack of white powder in his cabinet that hadn’t had time to dispose of it.

“Please come with us to the station.” The policeman laughed at him mockingly, with obvious contempt in his eyes.

The half-dreaming and half-awaking Li Changfeng suddenly became sober, struggling to escape their captivity: “Wait a minute, who made you come? Is it Lin Suizhou?”

“We arrested you for a reason, it doesn’t who reported it.” The policeman was too lazy to talk to Li Changfeng and took him downstairs.

At this time, many reporters had already waited for him outside at the residential gate. As soon as they saw him being brought out, the numerous flashing light of the camera came at him at the same, very dazzling.

Li Changfeng with disheveled hair and a dirty face stared at the crowd and reporters in front of him in a daze. Looking at the police car not far away, he suddenly realized that it’s over for him.

After reacting, he began to struggle desperately and roared at the camera: “I was framed! I didn’t do drugs! I was framed!”

It must be Lin Suizhou.

Lin Suizhou wanted him to die, wanted to suffer a complete defeat.

Li Changfeng’s pale lips kept trembling. He stubbornly didn’t want to get into the police car. While struggling, the impatient policeman forced him in by pressing his neck.

This segment was live, netizens and Jiang Tang watched the whole process on TV.

Looking at a reckless young man on TV, Jiang Tang couldn’t help feeling sorry for him. She once reminded him but it was a pity that he didn’t take her advice seriously. As an entertainer, something like pornography, gambling, and drugs are off-limit. But he didn’t understand it and even wanted to use it to frame others.

This scandal was not only affected Li Changfeng, but the crew of “My Husband is a Scumbag” was also implicated. The web drama was originally scheduled to be released in November. However, because of this news, the production will need to make some changes, it’s impossible to air according to the original schedule.

The netizens who have been following this story expressed their sympathy for Jiang Tang but also took pleasure in Li Changfeng misfortune.

[Tang’s fans gathering place: Tang Tang’s first drama. Feel sorry for her.]

[Huodahuerni: Most likely it will not be broadcast. Feel sorry for Jiang Tang.]

[Mineral water: I am just a passer-by and starting to feel sorry for Jiang Tang. I’m looking forward to watching her drama.]

[Tang Mei’er my wifey: Where are the people who criticize Jiang Tang before? Now that your master is arrested, what are you waiting for why don’t hop out?]

[Router: They would hit with a hammer if they dare to hop. Li Chanfeng is finished this time. He will never recover from drug scandal.]

[LIttle snowflake lalala: Tsk tsk tsk, luckily he got kicked out from Huatian. Where did he get his shameless face to look down on Huatian?]

[Popcorn: Huatian’s artists are not only amazing, but they also have the most positive energy. Now when I think about it, there is a divine will.]

“………”

Jiang Tang read all the comments and found that netizens are no longer care about her story with Lin Suizhou anymore after Li Changfeng’s scandal was exposed. Actually, it was not a bad thing for her.

She put down the phone and looked at the time. After packing her stuff and went to pick up Chu Yi from school. After picking him up, they went to the hospital to see Lin Aiguo together.

It was about six o’clock when they arrived at the hospital. She went in with Chu Yi and saw Liangshen and Qian Qian had already been here.

The two little brats had no idea that their grandma was seriously ill. They ran and jumped around in the patient room noisily, making people unable to rest.

Chu Yi put down his school backpack and scolded his younger siblings: “Liangshen, Qian Qian, be quiet.”

The two immediately calmed down and behaved themselves.

“Go wash apples for grandma.”

Liangsheng went to wash apples obediently. After washing, he gulped as he stared at the red apple: “Grandma, let me help you take a bite to see if there are bugs in the apple.”

It was crispy and sweet.

Lin Aiguo sighed, stretched out her hand, and rubbed his head severely: “How come our family has such a silly child?”

Lin Liangsheng: “Grandma, I’m not silly.”

After finishing speaking, he lowered his head and took another bite.

Lin Aiguo looked at Jiang Tang and Lin Suizhou: “You two go out first, I want to talk to the kids.”

The two nodded and left the room.

Lin Aiguo leaned on the soft pillows. Looking at the three beautiful children in front of her, each has their own character. At this moment, Qian Qian was looking at the flowers on the windowsill, Lianshen was still eating, and Chu Yi was tucking the quilt for her.

Lin Aiguo couldn’t hold her simile: “You all come over here.”

Her voice was a little weak, so Qian Qian walked to her bedside: “Grandma, what’s the matter?”

Among all her three grandchildren, Qian Qian is the most beautiful and also has the most similar look to Lin Suizhou. Her big eyes look exactly the same as her father when he was a child. Adults always favor the youngest one, Lin Aiguo is no exception.

“Grandma is sick.”

Qian Qian placed her face on her grandma’s bony hand with a sad expression: “When will you get better?”

Liangshen, who had just finished eating an apple and had a big burped. After that, he quickly went to wash another one and gave it to Lin Aiguo: “I knew it, you didn’t eat anything. If you eat, you won’t get sick. Grandma, quickly eats the apple. You will feel better after eating.”

“…….”

Sure enough, he is a fool.

Lin Aiguo began to worry again.

“Put it down first. I have something to tell you guys.”

“Oh.” Liangshen did not dare not to listen. He put down the apple in his hand and sat in the chair next to her obediently.

The three children sat in a room and looked at her with big eyes.

Looking at her grandchildren who have grown up a lot, Lin Aiguo suddenly regretted that she didn’t spend time with them before and was sad that she can’t see them when they grow up.

“Grandma is dying.” Lin Aiguo is very frank, she would not lie to children or create a false beautiful death. It’s true that she is dying, even if they are children, there is nothing to hide.

Qian Qian slightly tilted her head: “Is it…the same as Brother Ouyang’s grandma?”

The word death is a bit strange to them.

Qian Qian frowned, thinking of Ouyang’s grandma whom she could not see again, she suddenly became sad: “Why?”

“Grandma is sick.” Lin Aiguo explained carefully, “I won’t wake up again when I fall asleep.”

“It is the same as Brother Ouyang’s grandma?” Qian Qian’s eyes suddenly red and climbed into Lin Aiguo’s arms, “I don’t want you to die. If you die, Qian Qian will not be able to see you again. I will miss you.”

Qian Qian didn’t hide her emotions. Even if her grandma didn’t spend much with them, she still loved her. Even if she was a bit fierce and always scolded the Qian Qian still likes her.

Lin Aiguo smiled and gently stroked her soft earlobe: “When grandma is gone, you guys have to listen to your mother, can you do it?”

“Yeah!” The three children nodded earnestly.

“Especially you, Liangshen.” When facing Liangshen, Lin Suizhou’s face immediately turned serious, “You’re the least obedient. Don’t think that when I’m not here, no one can control you. You have to be more sensible in the future, understood?”

Liangshen pouted his mouth and nodded reluctantly.

In the end, Lin Aiguo set her sighs on Chu Yi.

Like his name, he is the most unique and special person.

Unlike his younger sister, Chu Yi didn’t show sadness or ignorant like Liangshen. His eyes were clear and calm as if he had already accepted the coming result.

“Chu Yi.” Lin Aiguo’s voice softened, “Grandma didn’t dislike your Ah Wu.”

Chu Yi was stunned.

She continued: “You have always been the grandson I am most proud of.”

His eyes widened couldn’t believe it.

“You must grow up happily, okay?”

Chu Yi’s eyelashes trembled slightly. The sun was blocked by a haze, and the grandma’s face was darker than dark clouds. Her eyes were no longer bright like the past, now it more like a candle that will soon dry up. Excluding the last heat alone.

Chu Yi felt as if his throat was blocked by something, it was so painful that he couldn’t speak.

It wasn’t until years later, Chu Yi finally realized that his feeling at the moment was called grief.

“…..Okay.” He finally nodded.

Lin Aigou let out a sigh of relief and waved her hand to dismiss them: “Ge and call your parents in.”

Chu Yi jumped off the chair and took his younger siblings out of the room.

On the corridor bench, Lin Suizhou was resting on Jiang Tang’s shoulder. He hasn’t closed his eyes for several nights since knowing that Lin Aiguo is ill. Hearing the noise, Lin Suizhou suddenly woke up.

Chu Yi walked to them: “Grandma asked for you two.”

Jiang Tang looked at Lin Suizhou and said to them: “Don’t run around, understood?”

After seeing them nodded, the two got up and walked into the room.

“How are you feeling?” Looking at the skinny and fragile Lin Aiguo, the sadness in Lin Suizhou’s eyes became more intense.

“Sit down, you guys.”

“Just say whatever you want to say, don’t worry about us.” Lin Suizhou held her hand while speaking. Because Lin Aigou used guns all year round, she had thick calluses on the palm, and the bones of her hand are particularly larger than ordinary women. These two hands held him out of the wolf’s den and raised him up. After so many years have passed, he finally noticed that these pairs of hands were actually so thin and rather fragile.

Lin Suizhou lowered his eyes and clenched her five fingers tightly.

The picture in front of her was a bit too cruel, Jiang Tang bit down hard on her lips as trying to suppress her emotions.

“Look at you guys, I didn’t say before because I was afraid of seeing your devastated appearance like right now.” Lin Aiguo poked Lin Suizhou’s forehead, “You have to take good care of your wife, understood?”

Lin Suizhou chucked: “I know without you telling me.”

“And Jiang Tang….” Lin Aiguo looked at her, “We only live once, so don’t let yourself be wronged. Whoever bullies you, you bully back, don’t show mercy.”

“Yeah, I know.”

“If Zhou Zhou doesn’t treat you good, just leave him. Do not endure it for the children.”

Jiang Tang’s nose turned red: “….He dare not treat me badly.”

Lin Aiguo turned to look at Lin Suizhou. In her eyes were full of caring and reluctance: “Zhou Zhou’s life was very pitiful when he was a child…..” She paused for a moment, “But now you have a home, don’t be afraid. You have to live well, get on with your, and educate your children and let them grow up well.”

“Ma.” He stopped her, Don’t talk more.”

Lin Suizhou is very afraid that he will cry again, and even more afraid that Lin Suizhou will be sadder.

Only he knew how difficult his mother’s life was.

She has met two men in her life, one wished not to meet again in this lifetime, and another one was separated by death. Also, her best friend died in front of her. She has seen too many farewells. Perhaps death is the best destination for her.

Lin Suizhou understood her, he understood everything.

Only after chatting a few more minutes, Lin Aiguo fall asleep again. With her eyes closed and let out very faint breathing. Lin Suizhou blinked his eyes and forced his tears back. He then stood up lightly and bent down to tidy up the quilt for her.

After that, he left the room with Jiang Tang.

The children were tired and fell asleep in the chairs in the hallway. Lin Suizhlu’s lonely mood was somewhat eased as he watched his children’s sweet sleeping faces.

He took a few steps forward and held his little daughter in his arms. Qian Qian let out a sound of lips smacking briefly as she pulled his tie tightly.

Jiang Tang sat down next to him and tapped her shoulder: “Lean on it.”

Lin Suizhou leaned in obediently.

The corridor was bustling with people come and go in a rush pace. From time to time they heard people crying and laughing, life is full of various forms一birth, old age, illness, and death are all integrated into this small world.

Lin Suizhou narrowed his eyes: “I went to check the burial ground at noon.”

“En.”

“My mother said she wants to sleep next to my birth mother, but I want her to rest in the same grave with my adoptive father.”

Jiang Tang listened to him quietly.

“She always talks about the loyalty to the party, but in fact, she is very superstitious.” The corner of Lin Suizhou’s mouth raised up, “I know why she insisted on wanting to rest next to my birth mother. She wanted to give them an explanation….”

Lin Aiguo wanted to tell them in person that their son had grown up and she had raised him well.

Lin Suizhou knew all these things very well.

But…..

“Although she didn’t say it, I knew she wanted to be with my adoptive father.”

Lin Aiguo’s love is not romantic. When she was with his adoptive father, he never heard them communicate but Lin Suizhou could sense the feeling they had for each other. The kind of silent sweetness revolved around them.

When his adoptive father passed away, Lin Aiguo didn’t shed a tear and hurriedly prepared the funeral. As soon as everything finished, she went on vacation heartlessly. Some people said to her that she didn’t love him, only care about Lin’s family business. Regarding this criticism, Lin Aiguo never explained it. But one time, Lin Suizhou accidentally saw her cry in the bathroom alone. Crying hysterically and almost fainted.

Later at night, the woman who had always been tough and cold during the day, acted like a little girl, carefully sorted the things that his adoptive left for her, and put them next to her. She even whispered to his picture over and over again.

“Will she blame me?”

Lin Suizhou clenched his fist and buried his face in Jiang Tang’s shoulder.

Jiang Tang didn’t speak and gently touched his hair.

After a while, Lin Suizhou’s mood has calmed down. He got up and sent Qian Qian to Jiang Tang’s arms: “You take the kids home first. I will stay here tonight with her.”

Looking at her children who looked so sleepy with their eyes barely open, Jiang Tang could only nod reluctantly: “I will come back to accompany you later.”

“Don’t.” The corner of his lips curled up, “The situation outside right now is so chaotic. I’m worried about you coming out alone.”

Jiang Tang bulged her cheeks: “I am more worried about you. Look at yourself now….”

Before the voice fell, his lips pressed against hers, hit with instant warmth.

Jiang Tang’s eyes widened, full of stunned.

The two lips touched each other, very simple with no extra step yet filled with tenderness.

Soon, Lin Suizhou pulled open the distance between the two, his deep and charming eyes filled with a blissful smile as Jiang Tang’s reddish face was reflected in the depths of his pupils.

The man’s slender fingertips gently slid across her white tender face and said with a muffled low voice: “I don’t know what I’d do without you, thanks wifey.”

Jiang Tang’s eyelashes slightly trembled and took the children home without saying anything.

After watching their figures disappear, Lin Suizhou turned around and reentered the room.

Back home, after putting the kids to sleep, Jiang Tang took a bath and changed clothes.

She was worried about Lin Suizhou. The thought that he hadn’t had a good meal and sleep for several days made her even more restless. What if he couldn’t hold on to it and faint in the hospital alone?

Jiang Tang frowned and her expression was full of worries. She glanced at the deep night outside and finally decided to go to the hospital to keep him company.

After making up her mind, Jiang Tang went downstairs and walked to the kitchen to heat up some food, packed them in heat insulation boxes, and took two new sets of clothes. After making sure she didn’t forget anything, Jiang Tang picked up the car key and was ready to leave.

However, Lin Suizhou suddenly called.

She picked up the phone. On the other end of the line, she could hear his long breathing but did not speak. A bad feeling arose in her heart spontaneously.

In the cold night, the man’s voice was abnormally hoarse: “Jiang Tang, I have become an orphan now.”

The bag in her hand fell to the ground.

My maternal uncle died on 25 August, 2022 at 7 am because of stroke. His wife left him to be the fifth wife of a poor man who abused his wives and three of them already divorced him. To be with a man whose first wife is paralised and he even married off his children. To be with a man she left her only son and even sneakily took away his properties, funds to find a new life. She took away the money that was prepared for my cousin’s study. She made my uncle so sick because of her betrayal that even in her last days he couldn’t forget about her. She left two years ago. My uncle died on 25 August. My 18 year old cousin broke down crying in front of me and told me, “I have become an orphan now. Now I’m alone. I don’t have anyone who I can call father or mother. I’m really alone now.”

Seeing the ML (no matter how much jerk he was I pity him) saying the same thing as my cousin I couldn’t stop my tears. Why My uncle had to leave? Why? WHY my cousin had no one who he can call parents?

Sorry or saying all these. I just can’t accept my uncle’s death. And now crying all the time. This chapter made me so imotional!!
